THEATRE GROUPS: CONDITIONS OF HIRE (as amended by the Trustees in 2016)

 

The person signing the booking form shall be the hirer.

The "Named Person" shall be the only key holder.

All hirers of the Theatre shall be 18 years or over.

The "Named Person" on the booking form shall be responsible for the safety of the public and the Trustees' assets.

The Hall shall not be sub-let.  The "Named Person" shall accompany the licensee (or nominee) on a 'get-out' inspection.

The Trustees accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for:

 

 Goods, clothing or any other article brought into or left on the premises.

Any injury incurred as a consequence of the hiring.

Any closure or cancellation caused by machinery breakdown, water leakage, electrical failure, fire or act of God.

Right of entry to the premises is reserved to the Trustees and the Police.

The Little Theatre by the Park is situated in a residential Area.

 

The hirer shall be responsible for good order and ensure that there is no disturbance to the neighbours or their property.

All copyright conditions must be complied with.

There is a legally-binding covenant on the Little Theatre. It forbids the sale of alcohol on the premises. No excise licence shall be applied for nor excisable liquor sold.

No metal fixings, adhesives or any form of adhesive tapes, shall be applied to any part of the premises, except by agreement, on the stage and the main hall hanging strip.

The hirer shall leave the Hall, Kitchen, Toilets and Foyer in a clean and orderly state after rehearsals and performances. Please refrain from sitting on kitchen work surfaces. Rubbish MUST be removed from the site and chairs and tables returned to the chair store. No items in any kitchen cupboards, except cleaning equipment, are to be used by the hirer.

The hirer shall pay to the Trustees the cost of any damage or missing articles.

The hirer shall comply with the conditions of the Theatre Licence for the Theatre. Details are available on request.

Additional stage lighting and sound equipment is available for hire.

Access to upstairs dressing rooms, and to the "Green Room", is given on the understanding that no property belonging to the Chesham Bois Catholic Players is borrowed, disturbed or damaged.

No painting or construction to be carried out on the Hall floor. Stage extension blocks on the auditorium floor to be sited on the carpet tiles provided.

The auditorium, the stage, the upstairs "Work Area" and "Dressing Room" are to be left in an agreed state of tidiness. All production debris is to be removed.

The 'basic lighting rig' must be re-installed on the stage: exceptions by agreement with the management.

Alterations to, or painting of, the stage are to be sanctioned by the licensee before changes are made and must be restored immediately after the production.

All Fire Doors are to be kept free of obstructions.

CHECK LIST

This check list is to aid all theatre companies when getting out from any show to leave the theatre ready for the next get in.

This is done on behalf of the Trustees for the benefit of:

a) The next production team to use the theatre and b) to comply with health and safety regulations.

The list should also help the hiring company to point out any discrepancies the Trustees may have missed at time of get in. The Duty Trustee will check the premises with the representative of the company at a mutually-agreed time. Should extra labour subsequently be required to ready the theatre, the minimum charge will be £20. Provision may be made for mutually agreed Exceptions listed on Page 2 by the Rep. Suggestions for improvements may be noted on the Trustees copy.

 

STAGE:      Tick or Cross

All brought-in equipment to be removed. 

All rostra to be stacked behind back curtains. 

Any equipment that was relocated for the duration to be tidily returned. 

Carpet re-laid if removed.

Legs and main curtains replaced if removed.

All production rubbish removed from site.

NB: There is no provision for discarding on site.

AUDITORIUM:

Chairs and tables returned tidily to store.

Floor swept.

Coloured lamps in wall lights replaced, if substituted. 

Technical equipment removed and control cupboard door replaced.

GREEN ROOM:

All costumes / props / make up etc. removed. 

Furniture replaced if re-located. 

Rubbish removed and surfaces tidied.

Restored to agreed layout.

Only CBCP flats, work mate and ladders to be stored in the floor space.

Sink and painting materials to be left checked and tidy.

NB: Empty, or near-empty tins removed.

Work surfaces cleared. 

DRESSING ROOM & CAST KITCHEN:

Costumes, make up etc. to be removed. 

Rubbish removed. 

Sink and basin to be clear except for cleaning materials. 

Surfaces cleaned.

PUBLIC KITCHEN:

All surfaces to be cleared. Surfaces and abutting wall tiles to be cleaned. 

Kitchen bins emptied. Refrigerator to be emptied of company items. 

All catering rubbish to be removed from site.

Floor and cooker to be cleaned.
